  . To do the BTinternet SMTP Settings settings then open the Outlook on your device, head to the File tab and then select the Add Account option. 

  . On the open search section type your BT mail address and click on the Advance option. 

  . Select the checkbox labeled “Let me set up my account manually” and then click on Connect. 

  . On the next page, choose the IMAP or POP option, depending on your choice. 

  . If you choose the IMAP option set mail.btinternet.com and Port 993 if you choose the Incoming Mail Server. In addition, select Encryption Method to SSL/TLS. 

  . Next, to set up the Outgoing Mail, known as SMTP, enter the BT mail server in the server field. 

  . For the Port set 465. 

  . In addition, for the Encryption method, select SSL/TLS, then select Next. 

  . On the next page, enter the BT Mail Password and click on Connect. 

  . For POP Account Settings, set the incoming mail port to 995 and then the outgoing port to 465.

  . In case you are setting on the Apple Mail, add your BT Mail account to the mail. 

  . Once the sign-in process is complete, click Mail on the upper right side of the screen and click on Preferences. 

  . From the Account tab, choose your BT mail and then move to the Server Settings tab. 

  . Also, uncheck the Automatically Manage Connection Settings box for incoming and going mail servers. 

  . Now, the Incoming (IMAP) port is set to 993, and the Outgoing (SMTP) Port to 465. 

  . Select the checkbox of the Use TLS/SSL and then click on Save. 

  . Finally, the BTinternet SMTP Settings will be complete.
